We always talk about what we cant stand but I wanted to start a positive discussion!

Come on we deserve a break from being miserable :D

Things I like:

Smell: Fresh bread, lynx aftershave, burnt matches, the back of my hand
Touch: Bubble wrap, play dough, burying my hand in sand deep, the back of my hand where the veins are squishy

Another thing I sleep with a thick duvet all wrapped up like a cocoon I love the pressure of it, I read that this can be an autistic trait.

Things i like

Smell: Pine, old books, rain (yes the smell of rain, does that sound odd?).
Touch: Anything water, dough, wet sand, smooth stones (i love to rub them).
Sound: The sound of water (waves, rain, rivers) panflutes, the music i like of course, cats purring.

I also like being wrapped in a thick duvet, but i dont use it like a cocoon, i just snuggle inside real tight. I cant sleep without anything heavy ontop of me.

Touch: cat fur, jean material, polyester, skin (sounds weird ^^' I know), anything soft, cars (the paint feels nice), buttons, freshly sanded wood, paper, sand, nylon

Sound: the sound of my ceiling fan, movies played low, music, my grandma's voice, water gently running

Touch: rubbing my palms against my jeans, my face in a slightly fluffy blanket
Taste: smooth chocolate, the fizz in a poured carbonated drink
Smell: freshy washed clothes, baby powder, meat cooking
Sounds: a fan going, that dull roar you hear when you have earplugs/headphones on

I respond mainly to sound and touch.

Sound: Get brass instruments on the "just tuning" system rather than the bastardized equal temperament, and I get some great synesthesia. Certain voices, flowing water, rain are good.

Touch: soft and furry (my cat, piece of wool, etc) cool and smooth (again, water is good), fine sand.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I love the smell you get when it's just stopped raining. Also cedarwood, palma rosa, and OLD BOOKS!

Sound: the 'cello - those deep tones! (Synestheia, yet. The 'cello is deep warm gold...higher strings and woodwind are pale, chilly blues and pinks - not so keen.)

Touch: the very top of my cat's head, warm paper fresh from the printer, the skin on Brie cheese.

And, I have to have the bedclothes right over my head (and tucked in at the sides and bottom, no gaps) or I cannot drop off.
