I'm interested in finding out some funny or unusual or hyper reactions to ...
let's say changing jobs.
Or moving to another school.
Or moving to another city.
Or getting married.
Or getting a pet...

Basically what your reactions were when a BIG change took place in your life. How did you deal with it? Where you scared? Did you feel lost? How did you cope?
I want the juicy details :)

It would depend on the type of stress, and the situation at hand.
Examples---
1. when I bought a house I had to move, but since I WANTED to move it was a good kind of stress. I enjoyed thinking of where I'd put my belongings in the new place, plus I had time to do it in. I also saved up some money beforehand.

2. When I broke up with a boyfriend years ago, I had to move because I was not on the lease and it was very awkward to be in the same place. I had to find a place to live quick and I was upset and so I quickly found accomodations that were less than ideal because I hadn't the time to save money or research places. Ugh.

Most of the time, if I get overwhelmed quickly, I'll cry or curse or go "AAAARRRGGHHHHH!"... a few times I lost my cool completely, like once at work I was overwhelmed and I banged my head into a table and had a panic attack. Once I was lost in the city and late for a show--- I stopped my car, opened my door, got out and just screamed. My BF had to get me back in the car and calm me down. Those were both BAD stresses, as well as abrupt ones.
A good stress ( eustress) would likely make me feel high, or giddy .... If I were to win the Lotto, that would be a good stress.
