Sometimes I cry or want to cry, reading article/seeing pictures of " Today's College Students..."...Or , an article in the San Jose Mercury News yeaterday about " Baby boomers returning to college "...Of course , I DO NOT HAVE A " REAL " DEGREE ( OR EXPERIENCES TO REMEMBER , REALLY ) IN THE FIRST PLACE , therefore ,it's hardly that kind of ( generally meant ) " return " for me

Never say never. I studied political science while in college, which never worked out for me in everyday life. I wanted to change my major to Law and be a lawyer, but that went out the window when my kids were born. These days, with newspapers dying left and right, I'm thinking of going back to college to learn something new. Now that my kids are grown and I've turned 40, I've been toying with the idea of getting a degree in English Lit, since writing has become my primary obsession. My father went back to college at the age of 48 and got a Master's in Sociology. My mom went back to college in her mid-thirties and completed several degrees by her mid-fifties. Like someone else here said, there's an 80+ yearold woman whojust got her degree. You're never too old to learn something new. All you have to is WANT to.
