I have spent the last month at a job placement centre mainly for people with Autism/AS and through them I am now starting driving lessons something I have been wanting to do for the last few years I am now going to work in a school training up to be a teacher and also getting a new bank account. They help you look for a job and other things it has been a sucsess. The teaching job I found myself and told about it. I would recommend to go to one of these places if you want a job or anything.

I'm so pleased for you!

Did I get it right? A teacher! I am a retired teacher.

Driving lessons, too.

Can you find out who funds this place?

I have to say it again: I am excited for you! Please keep reporting on your progress.

Robyn

Are you in the UK? I have been looking for something for this in my state(MN) and found nothing  Even the guy who DXed me said there were no resources for adult AS. It's weird because you can get help if you are an Adult alcoholic in recovery,DD, physically disabled or mentally ill...we have a lot more services in this state then many(though the republicans have cut many of them) .....nothing for AS adults.

It is in the UK in Kent where I live but it is a pilot scheme I don't know if there is any others around. The teacher job didn't come with them it is from my old school where I did my final year and I asked them about it and they were fine and they are supporting me through it.
