Does anybody use fighting instincts as a coping stategy?

I've stopped doing it for the moment, but normally if I'm under any pressure or I need to do something I dig down into my fighting instincts to make myself cope. I don't know if anybody has got in a physical fight, but I tap into those instincts.

I have a high boiling point and don't have any angry problems or anything like that.

Maybe not the most healthy way of dealing with things but it seemed to get me to achieve a lot.

yes, i have a volatile temper
but i don't get into physical fights
cept when i was younger,
i tend to have a sharp tongue
towards someone who seems to
attack me,
i hate having to defend myself most
of the time.

I don't use physical violence but I use sarcasm. If someone makes a smart*** or derogatory remark directed at me I will say to them "I am sorry if my being born with autism offends you.

I used to let people have it without giving it a second thought. I want to believe that I've mellowed down since.

I do it less now than before. I now view all contact outside my family as a liability. I now lean more towards avoiding people now and limiting conversation only to communicating necessary information. Since I have my wife and kids, I can do without social contact with anyone else.

I used to have a very violent temper. I was the type of kid, who would get into fights with bullies in the classroom, during my time in the school system. My temper has gradually faded, since than.
