Penguins don't lay eggs? Then where does the male penguin get the egg he spends months holding with his feet? And what does it hatch into? A shark?
SHOOT, you beat me to it! And LEATHER????? And what are PINS? or did you mean FINS? Funny looking fins, if you ask me.
BTW The beak, lower legs, feet, and general appearance scream BIRD! The fact that it doesn't have hair, lays eggs, and has no mammaries says it isn't mammal. The fact that anyone could confuse it with either, let alone that they live in a cold environment, makes it clear they aren't reptiles. They don't have a pouch for the young, so they obviously aren't marsupials. I say it is a BIRD, or make a new class of creatures. Then again, there was a similar LEGITIMATE question about platypuses. They are mammals, but not REALLY. So they created a new SUBCLASS! Apparently, echidnas are the only other members.
