Money problems make it hard for me to enjoy my main interest, coin collecting.

The gas crisis is making it more difficult to enjoy my main interest--- driving my Oldsmobile! Those V8's eat alot of gas ( the stuff apparently was cheap and plentiful when this car was made).

My ghastly attention problems and the extreme pressure to churn stuff out make me feel sorta buried under my major interest of making creatures out of socks...
BUT
I have really enjoyed posting ukulele videos on YouTube lately :?

It's very easy for me to enjoy them.

It's extremely hard lately to enjoy my interests because they are the type that require quiet and privacy in order to concentrate. I rarely have either and even on the rare times when I do, my absence from the chaos of life is seen as shunning my "real" responsibilities and produces guilt which interferes with creativity. If I spent my life pushing a mop people would be a lot happier. So maybe I should write a story called "Pushing the Mop". Dictated onto a voice recorder that I cold wear while pushing the mop.

If I'm depressed, my interests are meaningless.

I can understand that. When I'm depressed I'm only interested in my depression.

It's been easy for me to enjoy my interests, but sometimes it is a little hard because they can isolate you from society (it is a natural part of Asperger's). I like to go places, so sometimes it is a little hard for me, ya know?

I love geology and collecting rocks, which is very easy to do because well, geology is everywhere!

Hard because for one thing I live with my parents and they're not really fascinated with me being on the computer or watching tv, or playing video games, or smoking (but they don't know I still do)

Yes & no! Mine main interest is landscape photography. My car gets ok gas mileage, but gas prices are definitely making it harder to afford going anywhere. But I have also been obsessing over Aspergers, & I can explore it through the internet with no real issues, other than not having tons of time!

Easy when people aren't trying to make me stop or aren't making me feel stupid.
