Hey, I've had this characteristic and it's that I have a prominent forehead, but I haven't seen it in anyone else around (mot even my family). I don't know if this is normal or if it's a moderate frontal bossing, or if I retained that thing babies have in their foreheads or what:

It looks like the picture of this baby:

Image (not Nicolle Ritchie, the other one :P )

I think it even looks pretty, but strange noetheless. Does anyone else have this? I this something common in people with Asperger's?

Actually, yes. Astute observation. Those with autism, whatever form, may have a statistically significant slight higher neural mass and other neurological differences as well. I think many on WP already know of my chemistry/neuroscience research - I'll not delve.

hadapurpura, do you have an Occipital Bun as well? You very well might due to your neurology....just curious. I can verify those with 'Classic Autism' tend to have 'cherubic &/or angelic' features, perhaps child-like as you illustrated. Our kind are practically expected to be nearsighted - I wear contacts for my -800 and -750 eyes. Again, genetic tendency for BIG eyes since frontal cortex is deep. Yes, there is some reality to the 'Autistic Look.' Lush featured and haunted eyes are noted repeatedly, along with paleness within any given ethnicity.

Anyway, on a personal level, I do think these are attractive features - just subjective. If I may speak freely: I think Christina Ricci, actress who played Wednesday Addams, is overtly autistic looking. hadapurpura - you have this appearance! Sometimes others, like strangers, will comment on my 'look,' which takes me aback; I never think I look pretty/beautiful but I guess so. I've even been asked if I feel all right....geez. Very recently some guy in a store asked me, "Are you ok?" Why? I was feeling fine.

I am wondering...are both profiles pictured you? The reason I ask is, if you notice, the profile on the right has a less prominent forehead than the profile on the left. Everything else looks the same except the foreheads. Even the clothes are the same so I am assuming they are both of you.

Do you notice this when you look at the two opposite profiles of yourself?

I do as well. Just objectively, you and I have diagnostic commonalities.

Hehe. I always felt that something was wrong with me at school (guess I was right). I was the only one with huge eyes. Other kids thought I was on drugs. I get comments on my looks, like, "You're not from around here are you?" I just say, "No, I'm from Australia." which I am. No offense but I wonder if we're part alien? Doesn't that go along with Scientology which happens to advertise on here? 8O

Well, my forehead is more prominent. There is even a portion that sticks out forward, even if it isn't really obvious. there is a portion that sticks out the back as well, but I guess that isn't so obvious because of a flat part that I think is because I read SO much as a kid, and had my head propped up the better part of the night against the headboard. I think the fact that even TODAY the angle is perfect for reading supports that. But my head DOES slope UP to it.

Labpet,

WHY are you always hiding your face so? 8O OK, I KNOW it is the same picture, but still... I bet you're REAL pretty!

My forehead doesn't protrude from the rest of my face, but it is very prominent. I wear bangs to even out the proportions of my face.

(sorry for the poor quality, but I that's all I have, as I don't get my picture taken often.)
