Too many interests?

I have many, many interests and I find it hard to focus on any one interest for long. Is this a problem for anyone else?

I am interested in history, philosophy, biology, physics, psychology, video games, movies, criminology, computers and fiction. I find it hard to focus long enough to learn that much.

I'm interested in Chemistry, Royal history, motor racing, comics and whisky. I see it as a blessing : I don't learn too much about one thing at once, and if I get bored of something I have something else to go to.

Im interested in many things too, like cabinet making, computers, outdoor survival, video games, tennis, golf, motorcycles, baseball, and more. And in a few weeks, ill be out of this town and i wont feel so horrified of going places and seeing people that hate me cause it seems like nearly this whole town does.

I too, have a wide variety of interests, accumulated through time. My interests include history, literature, the Olympic Games, Roger Bannister and cats.

ADD!

I have many interests but there's a few of them that dominate my free time. The problem I've been having for a while now is that my main interests aren't very productive. I spend a lot of time discussing Canadian Idol in Idol-related forums. Before Canadian Idol it was American Idol. That can't lead to any sort of career, can it? I expect I'll be able to focus on other things more during the months after Canadian Idol ends and before American Idol starts...

P.S. If you're planning to criticize my interests (e.g. "stupid TV shows"), don't waste your time because you won't convince me, but you might upset me.

I have way too many interests too. I wonder though if this goes against the "Restricted repetitive and stereotyped patterns of behavior, interests, and activities" that we're all supposed to have.

Sounds like my husband and I. Our attic is filled with books on faith, trains, history, cars, art, music and DIY house projects, unfinished craft projects.... But my hubby tends to be that one that focuses on particuliar subject till he reaches burn out then he puts up his materials till the interest strikes him again.

I didn't mean to say that you have ADD. I always had too many interests. It excites me to learn and I don't think I have ADD but I joke about it. Compared to the average person I may appear to have ADD but it's all relative. I wouldn't want to change that. Life would be dull then.

I realised I had and could never choose. I chose the arts in the end, but now Il ike things like discovery and National Geographic and the likes and I regret that I hated biology classes and chemistry and math, because I know they are interesting things but I couldn't understand them. I figured that maybe if I had had a teacher who could have explained the way Attenborough does or NG does I would have understood and loved the topics more.

since i was young i am crazy about math (equation.. ).
last year i was "living" on beadwork (making jewellery), before i had fashion in my mind (drawing clothes, making the pattern... but i have never been good at drawing new designs), i had falung gong, terrapin, cats, french films, women in jails, anything really...

it is annoying to change all the time. like the beadwork, i loved making things out of beads. I bought a lot, it last less than 6 months. Now i dont touch them. Maybe because i did everything i could do... Shoud i resell all my stuff?

Oh I love psychology, yeah I have many interests as well and some of them I get bored with after awhile, some I don't.
