I hate holding still. I am very active and because of that, I pretty much have to move some part of my body at all times. The only exceptions would be if I am sleeping, worn out, or just plain exhausted.

Anybody else feel that way?

When I am waiting in line or just simply waiting in a waiting room, I become a nervous wreck, constantly checking the clock on my phone or constantly fidgeting with my iPod. Other than that I am just fine, always still and relaxed.

Sometimes I hold still to avoid looking weird but if you don't say anything then you end up looking weird anyways so it's a no win situation.

I find it hard too, in situations where you're not doing anything and expected to stand/sit there and wait. If I was say, sitting and really needed to concentrate, it's not a problem.

I pretty much can't stop completely, over time I have made a conscious effort to just move less visible parts when in public eg toes. Heh, even right now I keep reaching over to the pen beside me to play with it :P

Yes, and my medication made it 10 times worse! Constant pacing or fidgiting or something unless I am tired. If its not my body, my mind races by at 200mph!

Yes I hate it. My body starts to itch and it's hard to not move my hands. I get bored easily so I need something to do.

I cannot be doing 'nothing'. I am able to stay relatively motionless for a while if I am thinking about something, but in a place where this can't be done (crowds, restuarants, shops, school...) I have an urge to be doing something actively. I am always fidgeting -- in fact, I am doing it right now as I type this message. I get itchy, too. This can be very annoying in school :)

Yea im always stimming some way or another. If im waiting in line i rock as im standing, twist my fingers, rub my phone, bite my hand, if im laying down i usually rock from side to side, or fidget my leg. I never sit still very rarely.

WOW my son can't keep still either. He has to constantly be moving. Even when he is lying down on the floor playing his feet are still going. Ther other evening I was sitting close to him and got kicked about 25 times! Drives me nuts sometimes but I will get over it.

YES!! the worsted is being stuck in traffic, I have to stim just to sit down and drive down the road most of the time , if your at least going some were (fast) it feels better, but the radio has to be on and still one of my hands the fingers is probably twinkling but if we come to a stop light my leg starts moving back and forth, and a traffic tam, o god help me, both hands have twinkling fingers and I’m probably taping one or both feet and or moving my toes and what is wrong with people that get out of there place in line and cut in and your there going crazy cause you can't move. Does that not just drive you crazy, I sit there making up excuses for them "oh well there late for the dr.
" "they left there oven on" " there child is sick" "the woman in the cars is having a baby" “they can't help that they are a ass hole!!" so who drives fast??

and watching moves, hell I don't even watch tv because I can't understand the shows because i can't sit down long enough, i thought that’s what they made commercials for the people with adhd to get up and move around but movies are better cause you can rewind did you get up and forget you are watching a show and think you should clean the kitchen bake brownies and come back and its over.

And do people ever think you’re on drugs because you can't keep still, but you haven't ever touched them!!

Some part of me is pretty much always in motion. One of the first signs of me being sick is that I'm completely still.

If I have to stay still suddnly everything becomes upset, like I feel like my spine starts feeling sore, I get itchy and my other muscles just don't feel right.
