in the recent past i have had several girls ask me out. but as much as i want to go out with them, the only thing holding me back is introducing her to my dad or having my dad find out that i have a girlfriend. the other thing is that my dad encourages me to have a girlfriend and im am not worried at all about him being judgemental.i get along with my dad just fine. but i dont mind talking to my mom about girls or having her find out. but i will not allow my dad to find out. when my dad talks to me about girls i ignore him and get a very awkward feeling. i dont ever want him meeting a girl that i like. why do i have this strange idiosyncracy? idont understand it . i dont plan on getting married or going out on dates until after he passes away. why do i feel such a need to hide this stuff from him. I would like as much insight and advice as you can give me

Alright, you need to get over this. I feel awkward about talking to my dad about girls too, but if you can reach into the world of dating, it isn't worth holding yourself back. What if someday you don't have as much luck with girls? What happens years down the road when you're 30 and haven't had any experience with girls at all.

I have the same problem, but if a girl asked me out, I would definitely accept. I wish I was in your position. Don't squander it.

Good luck

I always just waited until they asked before telling them.

Often times we'd break up before that point anyway :x
