Hi there,

Our hands; human hands and what we can do with them, is what made us special, here on Mother Earth. Surely when you compare it to the other creatures. Most of them.

But.....

What is yours relationship (?) with your own hands or hands in general? I'm curious, 'cos they have always fascinated me. My own and those of others as well.

Does someones hands say anything about the person? Maybe not very rational or logical, I know. But when I meet someone new I'll always look at their hands too. Sometimes to avoid to much eye-contact, that's true but I don't know, maybe to get to know the other one a bit better. And of course, I do not make my opinion of someone entirely by looking at their hands.

Any thoughts or am I already a nuisance here?

i work in a cabinet shop, and my hands are always full of cuts, but they never hurt. Friday was quite the unlucky day, i scored like 3 or 4 cuts, usually 1 every 2 or 3 days, but this time, 3 or 4.

Bleeding rocks.

Hey me too. I used to do this "bar trick" where someone would ask me to guess their age. I'd look at their hands, and I was always within 2 years of their real age.

I've never thought of such before:

My first thought was that they're something to kill with, and then it was something to make an object/tool with, so it's easier to kill.

(I do have violent thoughts pretty much every second, so that kinda explains the above.)

It could be said that hands are about the most amazing things a human being has. There are those who believe that in our hand are written both our past and our future. I'm not so certain about superstitious hokum but there is no doubt that with them we can make and operate all kinds of machine, build all manor of structures, mine and refine all manor of minerals, through them we can express all manor of emotion, anxiety, frustration, anger, exclamation and even love.
they are soo powerful that Hands are in the true sense of the word; Magic!

I have some kind of thing for hands, men hands especially. I don't know what it is and I wouldn't say it's a fetish but there is something about them that intrigues me.

Hands can show you how much testosterone you have in your body which kind of shows whether you have a female or male brain. So hands can govern gender...

It feels to me, that my hands are where my brain works best. I work at a furniture shop, and build pieces daily. Until I was about 15, Legos were my passion. Creating, manipulating, with my hands is where I'm comfortable. These things require hands AND eyes, dexterity is important, but seeing and knowing how things "fit" is more important. Despite my above average intelligence (only slightly), and apparent potential, the academic environmnet was numbing to me.

These hands also love to rub, massage. I will leave it there. It is something intense and indescribable. I don't like recieving massages, but giving them... :hail: I just feel REALLY good.

I'm 20, but my hands are just slightly larger than my 12 year old cousin's. The other girls in my family are long and slender...and somewhat veiny. Mine are just short, like the rest of me. The longest part of my hand is my nails. I do like to look at them and try my best to draw them in different positions.

Hmmm that's interesting. I don't normally look at other peoples hands much. I never liked mine, always felt they were too big. I remember a guy telling me once that I have "worker hands" probably because they are ... well not so much "big" but long fingers. I think I grew into them and was worried about this as a child. But after that comment about having worker hands, I just feel like they're unattractive. It's funny, I heard that Madonna is very self conscious of her hands too and worries about them being too big.
