I work second shift now, so I have plenty of opportunities to sleep in. But I hate it! I often don't get fully up and running until 11:00am. But by then, almost half of my free time is gone. I work second shift, so my job runs from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. So more often than not, I don't get home until 11:30pm, and don't get to sleep until 2:00am. So this becomes a dilemma of having to choose between getting full 8 hours of sleep, or having half of my free time just going to waste. As soon as the economy picks up, I'm going to look for a job with normal 9 to 5 schedule. Sure, I don't be able to sleep in anymore, but at least I'll know I'll have at least full six hours of free time every evening after work. If the free time is before work, there's too much temptation to waste it by sleeping in (and then not being able to do anything other than a brief errand).
