is the glass half full or half empty for Aspies?

Full for me, personally. Unsure for all aspies.

The way I look at it alternates. Some days it's half full and others it's half empty.

The glass is half-full. I'm basically an optimist.
But no one knows this because all they understand is the double-negative.
I complain when something bad is happening, and they say "stop being negative."
Most people simply don't know right from wrong. As long as everyone (who matters) is smiling, then it must be ok. Right?
When I'm an optimist, they just think I'm naive or they can't hear me at all.

It's not easy being an optimist in a corrupt world.

I'm a (sometimes) disillusioned idealist.

That's what I meant.

It depends what's in the glass.

As full... half of usually a liquid and half usually a gas. I guess I'm an optimistic realist?

Things are always there if you look, it just might not be what you want/need at that time and you will have to look elsewhere for those things.

Some days overflowing, on very few, completely dry. Most days, half full for me.

half empty for me I'm a definite pessimist???? or whatever I can never see the bright side of things at ALL!! !

It depends on the day for me.

I understand what this question really means, but technically (most importantly), not phsycologically (too many variables and too much to explain),
it really depends on how the liquid got to that level,
if it was only filled half then it is half full, (glasses where made to be filled to there average level)
but if you drinked a full glass down to half you have half empty

I'm between optimist and idealist and confusion.

I'm basically an optimist.
The trouble is, I am also a realist, and there usually isn't a bright side.
When you throw away all the social fictions, the world really is pretty ugly.
The only real question is, can we make it better for tomorrow?
I'm an idealist and deluded enough to believe that it's worth a try.

I swing from pessimist to optimist, I really can't say what I am most often. Probably slightly more pessimist.
From experience though, I've found the closest we can get to Utopia is compromise (without flying too close to the sun)
