I'm taking a guess and say that's kind of a repetitive action or something.

I'm totally not interested in buses or tickets, but I love having a look into the tiny 19 pages long flyer although it holds no interest for me. Guess I'm drawn to reading stuff over and over again.

Anybody else do similar things?

And what part of autism is that exactly?

The repetitive behaviour cluster would be the heading. Of note, one would think that you'd find it interesting for you to do such, unless of course the reading itself is what interested you.

Now, if you do said reading to take your mind off of the environment (sensory), it'd still be from the same cluster, but it'd be sensory seeking in the form of distraction (evading would be the better term).

I read stuff I like, which can include a single page from a whole book, over and over again.

Every single time I pass by flyers I glance at them and read what I can. It doesn't matter if I've passed by the same flyer fifty times, I still do it. It's just something I do. I guess it'd count as a repetitive behavior.

Sometimes I feel compelled to look at the same pictures over and over again. It's definitely repetitive behavior :)
