My simple definition of AS

Imagine a guy who's a mathmatical genius, able to do the most impressive calculations - unless of course, the equation contains the number "7".

I am afraid I do not grasp the analogy, which suggests that a less informed recipient would find it unintuitive.

I think I get it. Sort-of.
But I don't agree.
Seven is not the problem. Seven is my friend. All numbers are my friends.
They are what they are, and they don't lie or change their minds.
The people factor is nothing like an objective, defined element.
People are constantly changing, have conflicting and self-contradictory beliefs and they have hidden motives that they don't understand in themselves.
They like to pretend that they have rules, but they all have a different set of rules and none of them can define the rules. In other words, they're crazy.
And it makes us crazy because we want so desperately to believe that there's some sense in it all.
