how many of us Aspies do collect things in the virtual or non-virtual world that we actually don't need?
I download so many 'interesting' pages which I burn on dvds but not read at all or accidentally read some time laaaaaaaaaater. I do collect things I find in the street...'just in case'.

I've always collected stuff and been quite obsessive about my collections.

i also download stuff and burn it even though i know i am not going to get back to it. but who knows? although now that i move from one country to another every few years, i had to learn not to collect stuff knowing that i can take with me only very limited amount. when i moved from portugal to france i had to give up some even new things. its a good school.

Among other things I have collected, I once had a collection of the cardboard sales label that are attached to/come with new clothes. I was very enthusiastic about my collections and could (and would) rattle on about them for extended periods of time to all and sundry.

I have a directory on my computer full off all sorts of random stuff. very little of it is actually usefully now, if ever. it totals a few GB. A data pack-rat if you will.

I also have a collection of random computer hardware, 99% of it I've never even really used for anything and a lot of it is far too boring too really warrant keeping.

US coins, ancient coins (mostly Roman), baseball cards, die-cast race cars, firearms....there's probably more.

Ah yes I hoard things myself. My house is full of junk that I've never used but I *just* might need some day, mostly old computer parts and such. I also compulsively record and save almost all of my favorite TV shows, with the end result that I now have something like 1.5 TB of recorded stuff on a server, much of which I've never even watched.

Comic books, I stopped last year...

Albums on Soulseek, I burn them and never really listen to them apart from what's on my 200G hard drive.

Books on PDF, but it's annoying to read on a pc. I still collect them, though.

I have a bunch of books. I feel like I need every book I see, even if I don't have time to read it. I used to collect like 100 comic books a month. I used to collect every interesting looking rock or , nail or washer I found in the street, but I threw it all out. I'm going through a phase of throwing everything out, but not the books or CDs, just old clothes. Even if I see a half bag of garbage I want to throw it out, even before the whole garbage can is full. A couple times i found a 10 dollar bill, so it works sometimes if you walk looking at the ground like I do.
