They're loud as heck. They can be quite annoying. However, I've heard some quieter ones.

When I was really little I used to be scared to death of drills. Everytme I saw one I would scream. Now, I am not crazy about them (who is really?) but not overly sensitive to them either. But security and fire alarms still upset me.

I thought you meant like fire and tornado drills. I really hate those. When I was living on campus at my university, I became traumatized because of one incident. The alarm startled me so greatly that my arm dislocated. I was in so much pain :cry:. Every so often, I would just stop what I was doing in anticipation of the alarm going off, like I heard a panther stalking in the bush or something. Terrifying. I'm glad I don't live on campus anymore lol.

I don't like dentist drills, but I don't think anyone does. It's like I can feel the sound of drill. Uggh...

I don't like anything a dentist puts in my mouth. =X

I like it if my dentist is hot. Err, that came out a lot naughtier than I meant it to. I don't mind a hot doctor probing around in my mouth with his hands and dental instruments. It doesn't make the drilling any less painful, but at least I can get lost in his eyes :oops: . My orthodontist was amazing... *sigh* He had such gentle hands...

A hot dentist? I don't think I've had one of those. T_T Besides, I wouldn't want to have an er... "unexpected popup" in the chair with no way to cover it up. o_0

I didn't mean for this to be about fire drills or dentish drills, but the drilll you find in a hardware store. They can be annoying. Though nowadays they have quieter drills. I've heard one and it didn't bother me.

Quieter drills are much better, the noise still bothers me like I said.. but not to the same degree as it did when I was a kid.
