Was George Orwell an aspie?

His Such, Such Were the Joys made me look up more. Note how he had trouble with bedwetting in school and was beaten for it, and also expressed some confusion at things that were going on socially. Outside of this autobiographical work, he was described as generally considered eccentric, out of place in crowds, unpredictable dresser, seemingly having trouble understanding social decorum. So, maybe- and if so, such a pity that he was so chastised in school for things he could not understand nor help, as was the case with people undiagnosed with other differences till later (AS, dyslexia, ADD, etc.).
