What's a perfect idea for another asperger movie like Mozart and The Whale for instance?

Pitch me your story!

How about a struggling aspie who wants to make it as a Hip Hop dancer but haves constant anxiety around people due to over stimulation/sensory overload. But either way he's determine to go to clubs and places we're he could be recognized... but most importanely respected! Or something like that! This would actually be quite funny to see.

Or it could be a more dramatic movie were we get to view what it's really like to have asperger syndrome and the communication problems associated with it! The more negative side to asperger like the loneliness,constantly being misunderstood,and anything else along those line.

How about Aspie and the NT?
This would be a story about an odd couple like Felix and Oscar
Come to think of it, Felix was a little odd. That noise he made with his nose - definitely stimming. Need for sameness. Did he collect anything? Hm... Photography lends itself to collecting.

OK, I'll come back later. This one obviously has been done already.

This sounds more like a sitcom. But it'll work! Though I'm not quite familiar with "Felix and Oscar"...

Has any one seen The Station Agent?

I've seen partial parts of the movie, but overall it seem to be at least decent...

A movie where the hero isn't obviously AS and where you can't really even tell until near the end of the movie, and on repeat viewings at that.
In otherwords, a realistic portrayal of someone with Asperger's Syndrome.

Yes, like some sort of build up! The premise: I'm unsure of the genre-by the way have you've seen "The Aviator". The main character(the pilot) I believe haves Asperger Syndrome. Anyways, he was extrordinary billionaire; meaning: He was well-recognized, noticed, and praised about because of his extrordinary talented ability as an plane-maker and pilot. In order for your movie to be more interesting how about a realistic portrayal(A build up) of someone with Asperger's Syndrome who's incredibly famous for doing something...
(I'm taking pieces of "The Aviator" plot points and incorporating it into "your movie")

A movie where the character seems normal-ish, but you get into the character's head more as the movie progresses, maybe using voice-over and possibly animated "picture thinking" sequences.
Something I'd LOVE to see is a film with some sound and visual effects that give us a character's experience of sensory integration problems.... Mostly so I could force all the NTs I know to watch it.
So, slap a plot on top of that, I guess.

A movie where two aspies meet only to discover that one is the actually a figment of the other's imagination.

what about a movie where 2 aspies meet, but they don't reveal to eachother that they are aspies for fear of rejection? And both are trying to cover it up?

How bout a movie kinda like Se7en or Saw where the main detective is this really dark character with some really intense skills and knowledge, almost too uncanny, and the unknown of that is played on throughout the movie ambiguously (kinda like the main character being dead in 6th Sense) and at the last breaking moment when people have no idea what the heck is going on with the detective, the killer, who's who or what's what, the second to last piece of the puzzle, that the detective has AS, is layed down and all of a sudden everything up untill that point (from his or her side at least) makes sense. Major puzzle movie, major mind twister, and something that would also pain AS in a light that would really grab at people's curiosity a lot more.

Yeah, probably not what you were thinking of for an "aspie" aspie movie but its something I kicked arround with another guy after seeing Taking Lives (though no, I definitely wouldn't want Angelina Jolie in this).

Unbeknownst to John McClane, after going to a psychologist, he is a diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. This then explains his aversion to the loud noises of machine guns and explosions that he's tried to hide all his life with excessive violence. At the doctor's office, a group of terrorists take control of the building. Not wanting to socialise with them, he quietly hides underneath the staircase writing poetry.
