I just received this link from my boss today. He’s the monotone narrator.

I’m not sure. I’ve only met him twice. He works in another state.

I just figured some of you would get a kick out of this video. And I was hoping to show him the poll results at the end of the day. With the available responses I figured it would come back as “maybe” or “he’s just twisted”, and that would be good enough for me to present to him.

I know there isn’t enough information. Please just play along.

I don't think your boss would like his video posted here so strangers can offer up a diagnosis of what's wrong with him.

I told him I was posting it on an Aspie website to get him some hits. His response was “awesome”. I don't think the twist of me presenting him with some silly poll results with maybe he’s an Aspie too or that he’s twisted will offend him in the least.

Is being called an Aspie or a little twisted offensive? I have no issue with either and I seriously doubt he will.

He doesn't sound monotone to me. Anyway, it's not possible to guess whether or not someone is an Aspie just based on a video like this. All we know based on this is that he has a quirky sense of humor, which is diagnostic of nothing. I'm not voting, since there is no option for "not enough information" or "I haven't a clue." If I had to pick one of the three, it would be "No, this is absolutely normal behavior," since I don't think there is anything particularly Aspie about it.

Meh... Sorry I made this post.

My boss is completely cool and very unique. I thought this video kind of showcased that. I attribute some of my own personal “uniqueness” to AS. I wasn’t asking for a real diagnoses knowing that people on a website can't do that anyways. I just wanted to tell my boss maybe he’s a bit like me. Or maybe that the consensus was in and the results said he was twisted.

I didn’t anticipate that me posting this would be taken so seriously and with such hypersensitivity. I’ll try joking with people in real life instead since the ones online are likely to snap at you for doing so.

I'm glad that you clarified that your boss has knowledge of the situation. There was nothing in the orignal post to indicate this. Still not comfortable will the poll (or the thousands of other "Is xxx an Aspie" threads here) but I'll take back my "rude" statement and chalk it up to lack of information.
