Just out of curiosity I was wondering if there's a correlation between asperger's and climate/temperature....Me personally, I prefer the heat...like really hot dry heat...90 degrees is wonderfully...the cold makes me depresed kind of and I just feel extremely uncomfortable in it...I always have to wear huge coats and insulated clothing when the temp drops below like 50ish....Is anyone else like this?

I'm the opposite. I am VERY sensitive to heat and humidity and I must cool the temp down if possible when it gets hot. In my office, this girl I work with (poor thing) brings a jacket to wear in the Summer, because she knows once the office heats up, I'm freezing her out. Too cool, though, and I'm freezing as well. If I could keep it around 65 all the time, I'd be set.

In cars it's even worse, because I get motion sick while riding. Even driving, if it's too hot, I'll get motion sick.

hmmm...maybe theres a correlation between temperature sensitivity(hot or cold) in general an AS? still need more input...How many people are just easily uncomfortable with certain temperature variations at all?

I hate to be cold.

I'm not sensitive to heat (I like the temperature to be around 33-36 degrees Celsius), and I love humid weather. I am quite sensitive to cold, however. I hate going inside in the summertime because the aircon makes me shiver.

Overall I prefer cold. Heat is nice for a short duration. More than a day or two though and it starts to drive me nuts.

Seattle is nice in that our heat waves are very short lived. It gets hot for a couple days then the marine air comes in and cools it off.

I generally like coolness outdoors but cranked AC bothers me too. I have poor circulation in my hands and they get numb while typing. Ideal for me is probably 75F indoors and 55F outdoors.

I much prefer cold weather, but cold things against my skin cause me pain. Ice on my skin makes me shriek like a little girl if it takes me by surprise (much to the amusement of my wife).

I pretty much hate hot weather, but hot things to touch cause me very little pain. I can take most things out of an oven without gloves or towels, etc.

Weird.

I cannot tolerate heat, mainly because of my sensitive dry/eczema/bumpy skin. I don't mind a bit of cold weather. I'm in Australia though so it never gets that cold.

I hate cold things against my skin too.

I MUCH prefer the hot weather of summer, and around here, it gets REALLY hot. Temperature in winter I keep at 80, but it gets warmer upstairs, naturally. Summer I let it go to about 90, 95 before I turn on the AC. This is uncharacteristic and gfs have complained bitterly about it on more than one occasion.

However, I am also hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) which makes me kinda atypical, at least for the question you're asking.

Not sure if it matters, but I very much LIKE rainy weather, best if it's warm rainy weather like summer showers. Enjoy cloud cover. It's like I can feel my skin begin to bake if I'm in the sun for any length of time and will sunburn at about half an hour in midday sun. (It tans over really fast though; 1/8 Cherokee).

I'm really a big fan of ice, snow, and cold.

As long as I get to stay inside, that is. Once I actually start getting cold, then it starts to suck. But it's better than excruciatingly hot summers. I think personally autumn temperatures work best for me.

At least you have snow. :(

I HATE cold weather. Hot weather is okay, I especially like it when it's neither cold nor hot. It's very cool when you're in the shade, but it's warmer in the sun. Everyone looks at me funny when I walk on into the sunlight. I love sunbathing.

I'm ok with a bit of dry cold and dry heat. Humidity makes the heat hotter and the cold colder.

There's 4 inches of snow on the ground. I'm about ready to die.
