Oh yes.

For that reason it's always been easier for me to communicate in writing, where I can review what I'm saying before I send it out. In person, it's much harder, but I just try to force myself to come up with cohesive sentences and feelings before I express much at all. Of course I tend to suck at rapid conversation, but no way around that I can think of.

i scare people at times when i'm stressed or excited about something and i start rambling. i think too fast for me to write slowly. i often forget words when i'm typing because my hands can't keep up with my thoughts.

I do this. I also sometimes find that I start writing/typing a thought I had already expressed a paragraph or two earlier. This is because my mind wonders and start analyzing what I had previously said while my mind is waiting for my written expression to catch up.

I leave words off of sentences (in speaking)

Produces interesting results. I once (when substituting) had a student whining about being in class for 1 1/2 hour before a 4 days weekend and instead of telling him to "suck it up" I accidentally told him to "suck it" and in my mind there was no difference in meaning.

he just stared at me for like 5 minutes and then said asked "did you just tell me to suck it?" and the guy next to him said it was because I was the best teacher ever and then all of a sudden I "got it" and freaked because I thought I would be fired.

I also leave the last letter off of a word when typing. My math professor said it is my brain's way of "cutting corners"

Yes. There are all kinds of ideas rattling around my head at any given time, but sometimes when i go to speak, my mind goes completely blank. It's like I know what I want to say, but it usually doesn't come out the way I want it to.

Some one mentioned thinking in pictures, I am the same way. For example, I will have an image of someone I and thinking about, but I can't for the life of me, remember their name. Well, at least not until someone mentions it, then it all comes rushing back to me.

Also, I like to think that I am good at making jokes and metaphors, etc, but I can't usually come up with anything all by myself. It takes someone else's comment or whatever to spark a whole bunch of ideas and thoughts in my head.

It's like my mind is an endless pit of useless knowledge that just sits dormant until something or someone, helps me retrieve it. :D

Yes, when I speak...ugh...very short sentences that contain words being stuttered or mispronounced. I do leave out vital words too or say the opposite thing i.e. instead of 'up' I'll say 'down'.
Writing things is better because I have time to fix my mistakes before anyone notices.

Yes, and worse, at an entirely different frequency. I am really out of cadence.....I give up!

Yes. And the thoughts aren't in words, so even if I could write or talk as fast as my thoughts (which I can't) I still wouldn't be able to express myself. I think visually, but not in pictures. More in webs or structures. It's very hard to communicate that and still be intelligible.

I speak and think at the pace of a turtle, albeit, it appears slower externally as it's hard to transpose what I see in my head to external words, and especially words that people will understand without having to repeat myself (ug, I hate having to repeat myself, but alas, I'm often asked to). I think my deep, monotonous and mumbled speech plays a part in it too, not just my problems with putting thoughts to words (in other words, I try to be comprehensible).

I do think and move slow, but I talk even slower.

Yes, to most of the above. I try not to, but I leave words off sentences all the time and speak out of sync with my thoughts. The only way round it would be to wait for several seconds before saying anything, and I'm not sure what would sound worse.
