Without even noticing it, I trace letters. I will be just spacing out and realize I'm doing it, and ask myself, "Why am I tracing the leter M on my leg?" Then, I will trace patterns, and I have to go over each line twice. I do that consciously. I don't trace on paper, I'm just tracing with my fingers.

Does anyone else trace letters?

That's just like doodling without a pen isn't it?

It turns out doodling has been scientifically proven to be good for you.

For years I hoarded fonts which I would hand trace with a light box for these dozens of hand-made fliers that I made for all different occasions...even though most people would use a computer and more efficiently achieve the same affect or better.

I still do it..only it has been a long time since I have had a reason to make fliers. I still have most of my fonts.

Sorry...that is what the title of the thread reminded me of.

I do that too. My Psychologist says it is part of obsessive compulsive disorder. I think a lot of AS people show a bit of the obsessive problems.
