I know my parent's have skype, but I have no idea how to work it.

Its like IM but with voice. I think internet to internet its free if you want to call a real
phone they charge alittle

I've seen these $20-$40 phones at Walmart that plug into your computer that
use skype

I have now myself since I can talk with my big sister who's in Japan for her job basically. I'm not a big fan of it but it is worth trying at least and I like it a bit.

I don't know if I can use skype on my dsl, I hear phone companies don't like the competition, are any members on Telus here in Canada know if skype works.
