I just wanted to make a post that was to thank all of the people who are involved in the day-to-day up-keep of this wonderful web-site. (Okay, too many hyphens) Since the day I found it, I was hooked. I love my blog, however small it may be. I love the discussion sections, I hardly miss a chance to put in my two cents. I love the news, though it doesn't seem to be updated that much. And I love the people here, they know what it is to grow up and feel left out. They know how it is when your at the grocery check-out. They don't criticize me for being too literal. Again, I just wanted to thank all of the people that make this wonderful place a reality.

Thank you Nate for bringing it up. Thank you, Alex, for starting a site that has meant so much to me and helped me with integrating the discovery of Asperger's with my life. Thank you admins for running a friendly site.

Nate, you took the words right out of my mouth (a common experience here). This is becoming the only online forum I use anymore. All the others degenerate into nastiness too quickly, and the moderators seem to have a higher tolerance for it than I do. So wonderful to see the admins keeping it manageable around here. Many thanks to everyone for being here and sharing your (our) stories.

I have been wanting to post something similar myself. After registering with this website and being here for half a week, I have already been feeling significantly more satisfied with myself, and more confident of who I am, and coming here was probably the best thing that ever happened to me... I could never read about AS simply because everything is written from the perspective of someone who doesnt have it and is too teechnical for me to care, but I can easily read the experiences of other people who have the same and similar stuff. I have been learning a lot of "oh, thats why I'm like that" kind of stuff, and I'm glad for that. I just want to thank the community here just for existing, and I'm glad there was a link here on wikipedia otherwise I would have never found it.

I have to say my experience on most other forums have been quite negative.. there is another one that I am going on seldomly that is not related to ASD or anything of that matter. I am thankful for a supportive (for the most part) one to exist where you are not judged.

I'd have to agree with you all. I've only been coming here less than a month, but this site and the people who come here have been so helpful to me. Thanks.

I totally agree with you, Nate. :) This is definitely a great website that the admins should be proud of. It's one of the only forums I use and everybody is so friendly. :)

This is a great website that everybody should be proud of, Alex, The Admins, The Mods, and just everybody who has used the forum since it started up...

Without you all, this would not be as good a place to be... I adore this site, I can talk about things, express my feelings, realise that I'm not the only person, and just feel, 'Normal'. This site, is my home, and so long as Alex is still here, I have no plans to leave...

I would be nowhere near as happy as I am now without Wrong Planet, everybody is just so friendly, here, I feel like I finally fit in, and that people actually know and like me for once... I love this site so much! THANK YOU ALEX!

Yes indeedy. I have been to many websites and forums, this by far is one of the more friendlier ones, where you can be yourself and let out all the quirks and craziness, and you won't (well usually) be judged. So thank you to the admins and of course to us posters as well, we also make it possible, right?

Nate's view topic

And only three posts! I felt the same way when I first joined, and as Nesh wrote, this is really the only forum I visit anymore. There is a freer atmosphere here and I feel safe posting.
