Anyone else ever get told something like "You're the one with your own unique perspective"?

Back several years ago, in the early days of the web, when most discussion forums were still via email, there was one such email forum where there was also a chat room many of us would visit. And we'd use or real names in the emails, and nicknames in the chat room, so, in the chat room, there was always some figuring out who each other are. And one time someone said to me "You're the one with your own unique perspective". And I had to agree with that.

That is a great quote. I think it's great to be an individual with your own perspective. It's a progressive idea to accept others as individuals rather than than a part of a herd. The herd mentality is such a played out expression that has already lost meaning due to paranoid conspiracy theorists.

Yes, I get told this at work all the time. Luckily I'm in an environment that embraces diversity and individuality.

For some reason, Magnus, I find that quote hard to follow. I just can't wrap my brain around it. The fact that I've no interest in being a man (the first sentence I follow just fine) doesn't help, but I don't think that's really the issue.
