AS and Height

about 5'7 and 140 lbs. I am considered 'thin', I do not consider myself thin. Just normal.

I was described as "tall and lanky" in my college years. I think when I graduated college I was about 6'6" and 180lb.

Now that I have had a desk job (I'm a computer geek) for 35 years I've shrunk to 6'3" and my top weight was 275lb. I'm now down to 232. I eat too many donuts and junk foods. I admit it. I tend to have compulsive eating habits that I need to bring under control.

I don't know what I weigh, but I'm not fat (not skinny either, though) and mesomorphic. I put on muscle really easily, not scrawny by a long shot so the cerebrotronic thing doesn't fit me and it doesn't fit my dad who's built like a brick shithouse. I'd say he's also mesomorphic or maybe a mixed meso-endomorph (the ones who are like the guys in the worlds strongest man competitions. He put on some weight when he got kids).

Now, he's about average height. I'd put him at 5'10-5'11 maybe. He's only a little taller than me. I'm 5'9" So I definitely fit into the tall category, but he doesn't.

Then again, he was never diagnosed. Still, I'm told that a lot of people from his generation aren't diagnosed until they have a kid who is.

Can u convert that please???

5'6" and 112lbs. I'm taller than both my parents. I don't know if there is any link. I have a friend online with a growth disorder (he's really short) and has AS.
My cousin with Autism is overweight. Probably because he is on Risperdal.

Interesting. Macbeth is three inches SHORTER than his NT brother.

I'm 5'6'', and 99lbs. Taller than the average woman in the UK, but not too special. Have a tiny build, and so people tend to think I'm shorter than I am.

I don't believe there is a link between height and autism.

I'm 5'2" (and that's being nice...I'm probably a bit shorter). I weigh 102 pounds.

I think it is ridiculous to say that aspies and auties have a certain look or body type. Even if you are generalizing. I have met many aspies and they share no similar look or size. I am 5'5 and have a skinny build. I've met aspies who were chubby, tall, short, thin, etc. However, I have found that from my own experiences autism and aspergers is very common in certain cultures. Aspergers is particularly common among ashkenazic jews. Many askenazic jews share similar features (Dark curly hair, prominant nose, etc.). But you can't even say that jews look a certain way. I was raised in a jewish family and I have dark hair and a prominent nose. But my brother is blond haired and blue eyed. The same way that you can't say that schizophrenics have a look, dyslexics have a look, or stutterers have a look, you can't say auties and aspies have a look.

5'11.5" 135 (not joking about the weight)

I'm below average height and am underweight.

5'8" - 205 lbs. (But my weight has fluctuated anywhere between 149 and 245 lbs.) Much had to do with depression and metabolism fluctuation.

I'm probably underweight too. I rounded my weight up. I don't like it when people call me anorexic.
