I just found out that for my Japanese course the textbook will be sold by the teacher to students who want it at the front of the class in front of the class... it is dirt cheap for a textbook, so that is a bonus, but the prof is doing this so she can meet all the students... Just thinking about that made me feel dizzy.... and my hand is shaking.

have your money out and ready, keep your head down and hands in your pockets until you get there. Hand over money, say thanks, grab book and walk slowly back to seat


You'll do okay It's more of an issue thinking about it and giving yourself the willies than it will probably be after you do it.

If it's dirt cheap, then I assume lots of people will take up the offer so you'll blend in a bit.

I wouldn't be concerned about this. There will probably be minimal interaction and nothing to worry about.
