This film will be screened on BBC Two on January 10 from 11.10 pm to 1.00 am. From the review in the Radio Times:

Quote:
Sigourney Weaver turns in a bold performance as a high-functioning autistic woman in this potentially dour yet carefully balanced tragicomedy[...] She's full of wide-eyed wonder as Linda, whose ordered life in a remote Canadian town is disrupted by the news that her daughter is dead. Alan Rickman [...] plays Alex the hangdog loner who's driving the car in which her child was killed. [...] this is a thoroughly satisfying and spiritually nourishing piece of cinema.

It is given four stars (very good).

I would rather it was shown at an earlier time in the day, but I will still stay up to watch it. I have seen the film twice.

In Australia, borders have the movie on sale for $6.95 which is about the same cost as a McDonalds Burger meal. (and a lot healthier too).

A slice of SnowCake topic

Excellent movie. I watched it Christmas Eve here in Canada. It was made on location in Wawa, Ontario (about 350 kms north of Barrie, where I live) and Alan Rickman, Carrie Ann Moss and Sigourney Weaver were excellent actors. The story was plausible. I almost wish there was a part two. Maybe fan fictionadoes could extend the story! :D

I highly recommend it. :D

i watched it New Years Eve just 30 min south of sartresue... neat-toe.
i had bought it for 4.99CAD. which really was just bonus! a buddy in Boston had recommended it.

yes, it's a very good movie. it kept making my face leak.
which was mainly about how it felt like a mirror.

try to watch or record it if you can
