Ok... I was diagnosed with Dysphraxia not that long ago, I think two years ago, and then diagnosed with AS two months later. As of now I've seen very few people who have Dysphraxia and er... Yeah.

I have 'Dyspraxic tendencies' and it was recommended that I be assessed for Dyspraxia.

I have dysparaxia and was diagnosed when I was 4. It's kind of annoying being so clumsy. What are Dyspraxic tendencies? I spoke to someone once who was diagnosed as dyspraxic with autistic tendencies, but I'm not really sure how you can have a tendency to be autistic. Surly if you only exhibit autistic or dyspraxic behavior once in a while you're not really either and if you do it all the tame you don't have autistic tendencies you're autistic. I think there are psychologists out there who get paid by the amount of conditions they treat so they try and make as many as possible

Yeah.. well, It's mostly having bad handwriting, not being able to run very well, and other things, but I'm no expert.

I have poor handwriting and dont like doing anything in the physical world. I find it tiring and frustrating, not to mention tedious.

How do dyspraxia and and executive dysfunction differ...or are the basically the same thing?

I definitely have difficulties in that area.

executive functions refer to goal orientated tasks. So if you're executive function was to make a cup of tea executive dysfunction would be the inability or difficulty you have in turning that goal into a series of well managed actions. Dyspraxia is a more general co-ordination problem. So if you had executive dysfunction you'd have difficulty relating all the little tasks in making tea to the ultimate goal, if you are dyspraxic you'd probably just drop the cup on the floor

I lean more towards the executive dysfunctional side, but when I was younger I was more dyspraxic.
Bet it's easy to have both.

I have both, though the ED isn't diagnosed. It sucks.

Dyspraxia is a problem with motor planning and coordination (for example being clumsy with poor balance and poor fine motor skills) while executive dysfunction is a problem with mental planning and coordination (breaking down a task, prioritizing, etc.).
