ok i dont think this is relevant to autism but i didnt know where else to put it.

ok so i was in bed this morning thinking(as i tend to do alot) then this noise started in my head, kind of like a computer starting up,and my hands started flapping alot and i couldnt breathe and my whole body was twitching, this lasted about a minute before i managed to force myself to breathe and move (quite difficult to manage at the time as i was in pain).
it stopped afte i moved and started breathing.
now this noise and feeling has happened before but not for more than a second or 2.

what is it or is it anything? should i be worried or just forget it?
thanks in advance.

It sounds like a seizure, but I'm not certain. I've never had one so I'm not entirely sure.

It sounds like a seizure. I would investigate this further.

Hmm I have never experienced seizures but if it persists, be sure to have it checked out. It could also possibly been sleep paralysis. Just keep an eye on it..

oh, yes, I have had sleep paralysis before, many times, too. I am always trying to answer the door, I can hear people pounding on it and shouting, and I am struggling to wake up. I feel my body violently jerking around trying to wake myself up to get to the door, but I am still sleeping, really, and there is no one at the door, and I am not moving at all.

I don't like it, either.

It does sound like a seizure to me. I'd recommend telling someone.

Irishaspie, what you described sounds a lot like sleep paralysis. I have experienced this myself a few times when I was younger. Although it may be frightening, it is usually harmless.

It isn't sleep paralysis, but it DOES sound like it could be a seizure. They can often be preceeded by an odd experience that kind of let's you know they are about to start.(Like the noise you heard)

I don't see how this would be sleep paralysis if your hands started flapping and your body was twitching. You hadn't just woken up at that point either, had you? You said you were thinking.

I don't think it sounds like sleep paralysis.
