What are some odd or funny things you have noticed about this world?

I have once seen a can of mixed nuts that claimed "may contain peanuts and/or ither nuts" isnt that just a little obvious to be writing that on a mixed nut product?

I once heard a stand up comedian ask why we drive on parkways and park on driveways. :D

How about a commercial promoting lessons to help with those who are illiterate and in the end of the commercial it said "look in your yellow pages for our number, under "education"... ummm okay, how can someone do that if he or she cannot read. The commercial would have no issue if it said "have a friend or family member look in the yellow pages for you under "education".

A letter was dictated to me yesterday, which was intended to be an e-mail, which was printed to hardcopy, which was sent in for review, which was sent back to my desk signed, which then I put in the chart and went back into the computer, and sent the saved unsigned letter via e-mail. Somewhere in there, I felt like I was living a "Dilbert" cartoon...

somethind odd defintely, yesterday.
was at platfields park in manchester, had gone with NAS support staff to attempt to use the natural made BMX racing course with RC car [thunder tiger phoenix st],the park has wirey fencing all the way around it,
and to use it,have to go through a gate and past a park keeper sat inside a booth thing.
as were going through, this guy starts shouting to get out, have no chance of coming in with the car and its only for BMXs.
well had started walking away from his first sentance while support staff were trying to find out what his point was for not allowing RCs other than 'its only for BMXs' when am noticed someone on a big mountain bike going up a ramp/hill and falling off at the top,and there were a pile of other mountain bike users at top of a hill to.
what a weird park keeper-would think if are going to get literal,at least stay at it and dont let non BMXs in.
thought sod that in the end,and went to the freestyle part which doesnt have stupid park keepers near it,and had the car using the half pipe and different ramps.

also, the nut warnings on nuts is to stop compensation loving people being able to sue the people that make them.

I find it amusing how some minorities/females can be so much more race/sex conscious than those they are accusing.

I've noticed that alot of the PC brigade that think of all the rediculous name changes to prevent being offensive are all white, christain heterosexuals and the minorites don't give a s**t and don't get offended anyway!

People are actually stupid to use a baby bouncer as a car seat or infant carrier because I have read the warning label saying to not use as a carseat or carrier.

People are stupid to use doll strollers for a real child because the label says "not intended for children" or is that for the parents to tell their kids to not sit in their doll stroller or try and push their friends in it?

The Brady Bunch House, the owners had to build a fence around their yard to keep the stupid Brady fans out because they kept knocking on their door asking if they can meet the Bradys  and they also peek in through the window to see the Bradys' living room. I really hope they were doing that to see what the actual inside looks like. That totally shocked me people can be that stupid to think the actors live there.

Another one of my old favorites -- a few years ago, I booted up my computer at work and saw the following error message:

"Keyboard not functioning or not connected. Hit any key to continue."

That's amusing. That has to do with the keyboard being the only real form of input into a computer before the operating system boots, so yeah.... anyways.... No keyboard = bad news.

I have seen billboards saying "If you or someone you know has experienced side effects such as nausea, seizures, or death due to this medicine, please call this number for help."

I almost want to call in and say I experienced death due to the medicine.

On a box of Christmas lights it warns: "For indoor or outdoor use only". As opposed to where, use in outer space?

On a can a air freshener it warns: "Keep out of reach of children and teenagers"

Well I bought a toaster at Sears once, and it gave me this warning "do not use underwater". Hmm. I guess some scuba diver wanted to have toast, but just where did he plug it in?
