I want to write a book, I always have. Its something I am going to do sooner or later, and I have finally figured out what it is I want to write. I want to write a book which is a collection of stories about life on the autistic spectrum, with the message behind these stories being that even if life is different it is still wonderful. I am thinking I would like to just put together a collection of real life stories about how life is wonderful, even with the impairments we do have, and how that these impairments don't necessarily make life worse, but just different. Life is a wonderful thing, and I think people should know just how much we all value it. I would be open to the idea of opening the book up to all disablities, but I would prefer to keep the focus on ASDers.

Even if your not interested in such a book, please post your thoughts.

To a large extent I think that it is our duty in life to let people know that 'different' people live here to so to speak. It is also good for your soul to put a story together as it makes your life have a value and your writings are a contribution to society like all of those who have gone before you. We are all uniquely individual and even if a thousand AS biographies are published I for one will read each and every one of them. I think that's why a lot of us come here. To be with a like kind.

I'd be just as interested in fiction as well as non-fiction written along those lines.

TBH, I would love to write a fiction of a character's misadventures through autistic life, but I don't have the ability to write like that, I've tried it before, got 50 pages in, and failed miserably, or more so, realized I had failed. But I can string one together, or at least try.

Yep, living AS and writing AS are two entirely different things, but they can definitely inform eachother if you find the right formula. Right now I'm just having fun attempting both.

Fifty pages is an accomplishment in itself IMO. But hey, it's your project, you can obviously do what you want with it!
