Just curious
because i'm more of a pessimist
Edit: i porposely made it so realist wasnt there so poeple could not just say in between :lol: so if your nearer to one pick that

Someone asked this a while back. It's socially unacceptable to admit to being a pessimist. When people ask you about yourself, say, at a job interview, you are supposed to say, "I'm an optimist! I'm also a people-person, and a self-starter! And I love a challenge!" Ha! Ha!

But really, I am definitely a pessimist. Nothing wrong with that, though. I mean, heck, we're all gonna die anyway. :wink:

I prefer "realist" myself, you need more options.
It's not all balck and white.... grey area people unite! (Yeah, no clue where that came from. Ignore it.)

Neither, as it's metaphysically dubious.

I think I would choose this option too... From the choices I was given, I voted optimist.

I'm definitely a pessimist. Given how most of my life was, I can't see myself being any other way. In fact, I think most optimists are just lucky people: either life handed them everything on a silver platter or they were always at the right place at the right time. So expecting someone who's down on his luck to be an optimist is just hypocritical.

Yep thats how i see myself; a realist, thats always what i say when i'm accused of pessimism but i wanted to make the poll so no one can just settle for a nice in between if you know what i mean.

For the longest time, I have faked optimism when I was around people. While I could feel really somber about life and the world, I was convinced that if I pretended to be sunny, it would at least inspire optimism in others. And I'm not even sure that that isn't true.

At this point I'm not sure at all. I think I'm leaning toward optimism.

Meaning that it's always both: a glass that's half full is half empty at the same time.
