Does any one know of a good place with a good reputation for diagnosing adult aspergers in the Seattle area?

No, but apparently that region is a hotbed for Asperger's resources. I'm currently pursuing legal action against the B.C. gov't for lack of resources here and that is one of the places I have been told that offer extensive AS-tailored services.

Let me know what you find down there, I'd definitely be interested. Actually, wait a second, I think I have a list of links for services there. Yep, here it is: http://seattleaspergers.org/aspieadults.aspx

Depends on whether you're an adult or a kid. If you're over 18, I wasn't able to get anyone to look at me. Of course, I was old when I was dx (46). They don't like oldies. If you're under, well, boy howdy, you're in luck. I had to be dx by a British AS researcher.

Places to look:

seattleaspergers.org/diagnosisandtherapy.aspx

That will give you a ton of information, but check out each person or group carefully. SOme are full of woo, and others are more science based.

Another place to check if you're under 18 is the University of Washington. They have a program there as well. Oh, and Swedish Hospital, but I'm not sure if they will dx adults.

Metta.

That why I am posting. I am over 18. I have nocticed by the searches I did almost all the people who diagnose people with aspie cater to teens and pre-teens. It is aerating.
