How neurotypicals generally tribalistic?

Just a thought.

I look through my Facebook friends and people in my college and see how most of the whites hang out with the whites, most of the blacks hang out with the blacks, most Indians hang out with the Indians and so on.

While there are exceptions and this is not an ironclad rule, but the vast majority of people act this way. Actually, it started to make me mad....

It's like voluntary apartheid.

Have you ever read Marshall Mcluhan? He talks about technology reverting man back into a tribal state (he coined the term Global Village, as well as the medium is the message). I'm hoping to get reading some of his stuff soon, it sounds very interesting.

But people have always done this. I think people will always do this.

You go with what you know...it's not a conscious thing. Probably nothing sinister about it.
It's how you treat 'different' people that defines you.

So? Geeks congregate together as do religious people, atheist, gays, women, men and 8O people with Asperger's 8O. The list could go on ad nauseum, but I suppose the point has been made.
