Last Friday i was told that I have High Functioning Aspergers Syndrome, An Anxiety Disorder and OCD. I have been able to sleep properly since then, and I'm so much happier.

I have the OCD and anxiety traits and they are common with aspies. The good news is that now you can do something about your problem. You can go to support groups, find an appropriate therapist who knows something about AS and you might make friends for the first time in your life. An AS diagnosis is something to celebrate in my opinion. It's drastically improved the quality of my life.

yes, when I first knew AS,it was a hit.But as time passes, knowing that the wrong part of my life actually isnt my fault makes my life happier than ever before.

It's been three weeks since I was diagnosed and it really does make a profound difference. Although this week has been terrible for unrelated reasons (three bad nights out, during one of which I was mugged [got off lightly though, one of them thought I was a nice guy and made the others give my iPod back. I only ended up losing <£20 cash]).

Congratulations! Welcome to Reality.

I hope to find myself in a situation similar to yours in the near future.

I have AS and OCD, I just need a diagnosis for a bit of societal equity and understanding.
