Just thought to share this with the inhabitants:
Earlier this week I needed to go to the local grocery for just a few items. Usually the grocery just plays pre-recorded tame or bland music, as you all know. Upon entering the local grocery Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" was playing! I suppose the radio was on instead of their usual music recording. I didn't think much of this, but definitely noted the pop music difference. I seriously doubt MOST shoppers even noticed and the volume was low/normal too.
My grocery has a few autistic baggers, which I do like - they're really nice. I do stim and standing in line at the grocery is when my stimming can be more apparent.
Ok, 17 minutes later, whilst checking out, the (autistic) bagger just started to blurt out, SINGING, "Just Dance!....I've had a little bit too much, doot doot doot" and the nearby other autistic bagger (I think might have Tourette's too) started with "Lady Gaga!"
The very serious (and very NT) checker clerk was at least oblivious - maybe annoyed (?).
This just made me laugh
I love Autists - just makes me smile. And amazing they so accurately recalled that song from 17 minutes prior! Sometimes NTs can be far too serious.
Just Dance!
