Just thought to share this with the inhabitants:

Earlier this week I needed to go to the local grocery for just a few items. Usually the grocery just plays pre-recorded tame or bland music, as you all know. Upon entering the local grocery Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" was playing! I suppose the radio was on instead of their usual music recording. I didn't think much of this, but definitely noted the pop music difference. I seriously doubt MOST shoppers even noticed and the volume was low/normal too.

My grocery has a few autistic baggers, which I do like - they're really nice. I do stim and standing in line at the grocery is when my stimming can be more apparent.

Ok, 17 minutes later, whilst checking out, the (autistic) bagger just started to blurt out, SINGING, "Just Dance!....I've had a little bit too much, doot doot doot" and the nearby other autistic bagger (I think might have Tourette's too) started with "Lady Gaga!"

The very serious (and very NT) checker clerk was at least oblivious - maybe annoyed (?).

This just made me laugh :D I love Autists - just makes me smile. And amazing they so accurately recalled that song from 17 minutes prior! Sometimes NTs can be far too serious.
Just Dance!

Haha, that's great!
I once broke into song and my own created dance when I heard a popular song in the supermarket.

That's cool! :D I wish I could do something like that, but I easily get embarassed when singing.

Hehheh. It's odd because it's not my type of music at all but there is something about the chorus of that song that gets my attention, in a good way, everytime.

Kudos to the grocery store for having an open mind to hire people like us. :-)

Weird or not, I'm always singing in public. Often quite loudly.

Totally reminds me of how the SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Song always grabs my attention no matter where I am.

I have opposite. I'm always singing but when someone else approaches shut up quickly.
