How soon should you be reevaluated? One, two, three years? Why is it a good idea/or not?

I think after you have one positive evaluation for AS, you don't need another one. Each dr I've seen since my initial diagnosis has concurred with the one before.. and that makes 4 drs.

At first though, two docs thought that aught all I had was NLD, but further research and testing was done, and it is AS. So, I'm satisfied with that and don't see the need for further testing.

The only testing I have to get next is an Adaptive Functioning Test to see if I qualify for developmental disability services in Oregon.

The only time you should need an update on your dx is if what you were dx'd with something that is not recognized anymore. For example, there were many children in the mid 1980s dx'd with PDD- Childhood Onset. That was removed in the late 80s prior to the release of DSM-IV.

It would seem to me that re-evaluation would be in order if you had a reason to suspect that the original diagnosis might be inaccurate or even just "borderline", and you cared enough to want a second opinion.
