I am looking for an advocate or support network in the case I can no longer work. Just got qualified for reasonable accomodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act due to my autism but what if I still can't perform? What if I still cannot keep my job before I find something that best utilizes my strengths? I need an autism expert that I can work with. I work harder than anyone it seems but will it be enough?

What sort of job do you have?

What sort of difficulties are you experiencing?

I guess the first thing you can do is contact the Juneau autism society or whatever.

I have a desk job where it is hard to focus on my work. I did get alternate lighting from flurescent lights which helped for awhile. Juneau does not have an autism society (I so wish they did I know of several others on the spectrum here). I will keep looking for an autism society in Alaska but if anyone knows what I can do please let me know.

Thank you.

There is the Alaska Autism Society, which is based in Fairbanks.

Do you work for the State of Alaska?

I was in Juneau once.

You seem to think there are organized sources of support for adults with autism. There aren't. Post specifics of your industry, your work problems, and your resources here, and members will reply with suggestions. Without more information, this is the best I can offer.
