Anyone ever get told this when they were kids?


I was told this by my dad when I was little and I didn't think it was true because I didn't see stupid people every where but now as an adult, ever since I have joined the autism community, I found out it's true. There are a lot of stupid people in the world.

yeah it mainly deals from extremist beliefs(i.e. Nazis the KKK etc.) or from (solely) immaturity.

sadly , this has been my experiance too. To expand on that, high schools in particular seem to be concentrated nexus points of stupid.

Fortunately for me, colleges don't seem to have that problem.

It's easy to think everyone's stupid when you're smarter than average. Course, thinking I was smarter than most people led me to do pretty much the dumbest things I've ever done. You're only as smart as the last thing you've said or done, and all the shoulda/woulda/couldas can't change that.

There were lot of stupid kids in my school when I lived in Montana. They broke rules and did drinking and driving, having sex and getting pregnant in their teens, kids in special ed refusing to do their school work. Some even did drugs. Now that's stupid and I was the smart one.

That really isn't all that bad... There was a girl at my highschool, she got pregnant 3 times in grade 9, had an abortion each time... She later dropped out to be with her boyfriend, her older sister has done many equally stupid things... That girl also started a fight with me in grade 8, of which I said, you want to hit me, I'm not gonna tolerate it becuase you're a girl, and knocked her to the ground. First time anyone had ever done anything back to her, and she was so shocked she proceded to tell me her life story of how she is living in a group home because her dad was in jail for murder... manslaughter. She ran away for a couple of months with her boyfriend to Niagra, and all the empathic girls in the class were crying wondering what this idiot was doing and whether or not she'd be alright, and all I could think is good riddance, the world doesn't need more people like that, and I hope she just keeps having abortions or gets shot or something, because her raising a child would be a form of abuse all on its own.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, her boyfriend was technically a pedophile, as he was 18 when they ran off to Niagra...

Yeah, people like to side with the people who have had sex the most. It makes them "mature."

I am happy to have parents who raised me to at least wait till I have a more economically stable life before I even consider having children.

Yes there are too many stupid people in the world. I too, was told this often as a child.. but now I definitely see this for myself!
