Christmas is over now for me (I live in Australia) and now there's nothing left but torn wrapping paper and tired little kids. Maybe we could just post here what we got and what we gave and if appropriate, what it means.

I received:
* A glass chess board
* 5 Bottles of Deodorant
* 2 Pairs of Jeans
* Some Grooming Stuff
* More Personal Hygiene Stuff
* A Michael Moore book

I assume this means alot of people think I'm a slob or something. The 5 Bottles of Deodorant all came together in the one box as a sort of joke.

I gave:
* A portable DVD player (went thirds)
* A pressure cooker (went thirds)
* Two ornamental rooster statues
* A cool glass thermometer
* Lost: Season 1 DVDs
* Victory At Sea Collection

All last minute gifts and all seemed to suit the person surprisingly.

Any how, what did you get and what did you give?

was it one of those "galileo" ones? my mum bought my dad one of those for xmas.

i recieved: a digi-box (which i wasn't expecting but i am very pleased with- although i'm worried i'm going to turn in to a tv addict now!), a CD and a 2006 calender featuring small children dressed-up as fairies (extremely disturbing, but i pretended to like it!).

i gave: a musical sparkly waterglobe, chocolates and perfume (i know the last two weren't very original but i think they were appreciated anyway).

I like to both give and receive. It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I don't care so much about receiving presents but enjoy giving them, and other times I'm a greedy little pig.

Jes' depends.

But when I was a kid I certainly heavily favored the receiving end. But now since I have my own money to satisfy my wants, I'm not so focused on what I get from other people.

Yes it was, but I wasn't sure if anyone would know what that was if I said it. I gave it to my brother has he seemed to like my one. Mine was tiny compared to the one I gave him.
