Whats the way? Sleep doesn't seem to do anything, I just wake up feeling stressed and tired. I'm hoping to go on a holiday soon. I wanna just lie down on a beach for a year. My mind is finding it hard to keep on top of all this stress, I don't feel depressed or suicidal, but it would be a relief just to blow my head off, no pun intended. Maybe I should really cut my computer time down as well, but I get bored. Life's so short though... Bleh

I used to decompress by hiking up into the mountains, pitching a tent, and simply vegging out away from any tech-nuisances and the people who enjoy them.

To recharge, i shut my systems down (i.e. eyes close, body limps). My mind is blank and black (as my eyes are closed and I am not using my brain). I lay there till I feel better or until I fall asleep. For best results, do this in a quiet comfortable place, such as in your room on your bed. -Power Girl
P.S. WEED?! COME ON!! !! !! ! I'll bet your life on it that it'll do more harm than good in the long run. Peace.

Yeah, I agree with the nature thing. I'm in a stessful enviroment at the moment. I'd like to just lie in a natural spa or something, one of those hot ones.

The best spot I've found so far is a few miles due north of Mount Wilson. It's a lushly verdant canyon above Sepulveda Falls. Fresh water, no cellular coverage, clean air, no TV or radio reception, and no place to plug in a video game, blow dryer, or boom-box!

I feel on edge in my house at the moment, a hotel room would do the trick.

I've never tried this but they have these people at the mall. They have special chairs and they will give you a massage for x amount of dollars. I don't know how good the massage is or anything.
Peppermint essential oil is supposed to recharge. There's always No Doze. You could get a shampoo and a new hairstyle. A really warm shower can wake you up. Cup of coffee. Little bottles of energy drink they sell at Seven Eleven. Gatorade.
Another thing you can do at the mall is walk around it a few times.
Drink plenty of water. A nap is good.

Exercise (usually very long walks), listening to heavy metal and classical music, and making sure I am eating enough fruits and vegetables have helped me energize again.

Purposeful movement. Finding movement that seems to put my wah bach in whack. Always seems to help. Otherwise, I get in my car, drive somewhere, put on my MP3 player and scream lyrics to my favourite songs until I feel better.

I've found singing helps too - I have Singstar - and whenever I am stressed to the max - I like to turn it up very loud and just sing and sing until my throat hurts... Sometimes the sadder songs make me cry or become very emotional - I find that the release of that helps me get rid of stress...

Else - quiet solitude... I grew up in the country here in Australia - traveling far into the country and being alone (camping for example) I find is awesome.
