Monotone Robotic High-Pitched?

What kind of voice do you sound like? I'd have to go with monotone.

a cross between monotone and robotic.

high-pitched when i'm stressed and monotone the rest of the time.

Monotone, low-pitched for a girl, and nasal. ((I always seem to have a runny nose, I thought I'd outgrow it, but NOOOOO, this will be with me forever.))

try L-Glutamine supplements. Its an amino-acid that provides fuel for the immune system (amongst other things). Persistant sinus trouble may indicate a defieciency.

Judging by recordings, mine appears to be a bit high pitched and in a permanent state of changing tones, especially when I'm freaking out. (That is, it's always sort of cracking. I may be fifteen, but I'm a girl--aren't our voices not SUPPOSED to crack?) This is probably why I can't sing a note to save my life.

My mother always complained about my monotone voice when I was younger.
When I'm pre-occupied with something it's very monotone and robotic....rather low pitched.

When I'm in character, I'm rather animated.....but it takes me only so far and lasts only so long

Like I'm being partially strangled and forcing myself to speak. It gets worse when I'm nervous or want to sound professional.

I have been told that my voice is flat and lacks dynamics. This is accurate. I can make an effort to add more inflection etc. to my voice, but occassionally I will do it incorrectly. For example: I will make a statement that sounds like a question because of how I say it. When I'm stressed or in a bad mood this gets worse.

I don't think I ever sounded robotic, but my usual speaking voice has always been high-pitched (for a guy my age), nasally, soft, and at times monotonous. However, I have made a considerable amount of progress since I started my radio gig. I've especially improved in speaking more loudly, clearly, and with a fuller voice, though I think I can still sound a little monotonous at times. And while I'm generally okay when I'm reading something over the air, I do sometimes fall back on my old traps during casual conversation.

Fairly monotone when anxious or uncomfortable. Pretty normal when calm. All over the place when excited.

I also do lots of voices and accents.

Generally with more inflections etc than most people. Though from recordings it sounds like a boy's voice but when I'm excited it goes all over the place, and generally ends up fairly high-pitched.

I suspect that I sometimes sound whiny and accusing when making a neutral statement, because that's how some people manage to interpret it. But I find it difficult to judge my own voice... listening to a recording seems very different to listening while you speak.

When I read the title of this thread I thought "Holy crap! Someone started a thread about my voice!" My voice sounds monotone, robotic and high(er) pitched than other guys my age. So all of the above.

My voice is low, but not as low as James Earl Jones.
