There's a thread for this in the politics section already. I remember signing a petition earlier today and I'm pretty sure that's where it was....

Here's the link:

I've said it before, and I'll say it as often as the opportunity presents itself:

On-Line Petitions Are Not Worth The Paper They're Printed Upon!

If you really want to make a difference, then file for an injunction against the release and/or distribution of the book.

Maybe.

One thing's for sure. Talking to each other about it on WP accomplishes Jack Point Squat Zero.

Signing an online petition won't do any harm, though. They may not affect the target too much, but they do raise awareness and solidarity among protesters.

And if you print it out and mail it as an e-mail or a letter, you could be doing quite a lot of good.

Having a standardized form that people can use is one benefit of online petitions. People who are too busy to write a letter themselves could still print out a petition and mail it.

What/who is Lindt?

Seal did a benefit concert a year or so ago to raise money for Autism Speaks. I don't think he's part of it, or knows much about it, and that he just looked for an autism "support group" to contribute to and the first thing he found was Autism Speaks.

If Lint are going to be bad at something, why don't they 'just' make chocolates?

Well given the choice based on taste alone I would not eat Lindt chocolate, british choc is far better IMO.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

Have thought a few of Lindts bars were very nice-the swiss double milk one [like kinder egg chocolate],and the dark one.
hotel chocolat [uk made/based] is great choc but they don't have enough shops.

I've seen some Lindt chocolate, but never tried it. We tend to have more Russell Stover and Whitman's here than anything. It might taste different in your mouth.....but it's all the same once it hits your stomach...

I'd sign that if I didn't have to give my address.

Put "not telling". That's what I do.
