I've been noticing that, on occasions I sit with my feet inverted, legs closed and body posture forward. Would you akin this to aspergers? Or is it just a comfort preference?

I usually sit cross-legged on a chair and people find this really strange. I find it comfortable and have sat like this all my life. My posture is still good though.

OH MAN, I wish my mother had the internet(everytime I set her up, she refuses to us it. 8-(), because this would......

Wait for it, I have never said this before.......

FREAK HER OUT!! !! !! !! !!

I sit almost the SAME way!! !! !! !! My left(Your right) leg is bent on the chair, with the side of my left shoe touching. My right(your left) leg is up, and my right shoe is on the chair to the right side of my left knee. WEIRD! I think I started because no way seemed comfortable, and this prevented bullies from getting me in a more defenseless posture.

Leaning forward, elbow on desk or table, chin in hand. In fact, I remember being at a job interview, sitting on a chair next to the desk of the person that was interviewing me. The person said, "This is the first time I've ever seen anyone at an interview sitting the way you are sitting, with their elbow on the desk and their chin in their hand." I wasn't aware that my posture was inappropriate, it's the way I always sit unless my hands are working or holding something. I did get the job, though. But I'm sure the person that interviewed me told her boss and the HR people and god only knows who else about the way I sat during the interview because she was a very gossipy person as I found out when I had to work with her everyday. So I started off being seen as defective or not "normal".

I usually sit with my legs crossed, or squat in the chair, such that my buttocks are resting on my heels, and my thighs are together. I also tend to have one of my knuckles in my mouth, if I am not using both of my hands.

If there's a surface in front of me I'll always put my arms on it or lean my elbows on it. If not, I'll lean back, fold my arms and rest my ankle on my thigh (I know this is totally unfeminine!) or cross my legs properly. Though if I'm feeling uptight or anxious I'll slouch forward and keep my knees together.
