Hi all, I thought I'd mention it here. I wrote a picture book for my son about not understanding non-verbal queues. My kids and their friends have enjoyed it. I thought it might be of interest here. The book is called Bubs The Robot because my son loves robotics.

After I had made the book, Connie Kasari came out with a study that said that children with HFA did best when their piers were taught about their condition and were ready to handle them. That was the flip side of what I had wanted to do. By giving a scenario that explained what it was like to not understand the non-verbal communication around them, I hoped to show (in a small way) what it was like to those without Asperger's or HFA.

The book can be ordered through lulu.com here.

I debated if I should offer the downloads for free. In the end $2.50 is less than a lot of people pay for a cup of coffee. You drink the coffee feel a little better and then its gone. Offer a way to help children and $2.50 is suddenly more than they can afford. Thats the curse of the internet, everything is expected to be free. :D
