When you see other people laughing, smiling and
having good-natured fun do you instinctively feel
happy as well,or deep down does it make you feel that you're missing out on something or even a little jealous ? I'd have to admit that until recently the latter was my underlying reaction, but I'm not sure why. There's no logical reason why a little happiness shouldn't brighten up everyone's day, even if it's only observing strangers laughing or smiling.Maybe it's an
example of my reduced empathy or a legacy of
school days when people laughed AT me.
All this occured to me while I was walking through town today and I decided to make a conscious effort to feel positive every time I observed a little happiness.
Coincidentally,as I walked along someone was handing out leaflets which at first I presumed to be for some fast-food cafe but it turned out to be an advert for a book by L Ron Hubbard called Dianetics. The title of the leaflet ? "Are you in search of happiness ?".

Others being happy makes me happy. If people enjoy themselves they're so easy to deal with.

I get really annoyed when others act all sappy, emotional and disturbed. It makes me time harder than it should be and my time should only be awesome.

Scientology!

Hands away from that stuff if you want to keep your sanity and dignity as a normal human being.

So long as my little sister and mother are happy, then i'll be fine not neccessarily happy because granted i have Severe Depression, but they are the only people that i really will try to make happy, otherwise i don't really get effect by wether other people are happy or sad, its when they get rude or mean, thats when i start to feel the adrenaline pumping, however i have been trying to work on how i react because, well some of the ways i would like to act are well *cough* illegal *cough*. yeah so i've been working on my anger.

I am very happy for my students, when they become professionals and are happy in return. Then I know I did something right. :D

If I know them and like them yes.

If I don't know them it really depends on how I'm feeling.

If I don't like them than no.

Not really. When I watch other people be happy it makes me feel even more alone and horribly jealous.
I'm not saying I like to see people sad, it's just that it's hard for me to see them happy, I guess.

I'd love to say I'm always happy for them, because that is the "right" thing to want. I don't always feel that way though. Often, I feel jealous and rotten. Still, I'm glad to see others succeed and to find inspiration where there is some. Often, I'm genuinely happy to see the happiness and success of others. It just depends on my mood.

I used to hate seeing young couples because I was still single and didn't have anyone and I was stuck in Montana still. Now I hate seeing young mothers now. I envy them and I wonder if they are getting any support or if their families help them or if they have good paying jobs so they can afford their kids. I envy people living in houses, especially young people.

One girl at my job quit her job as front desk because she got a job at a travel agent place that would pay her $25 an hour. I felt happy for her but also wished that were me because I would love to make that much. I could afford a bigger place then but I would wait first to see how much gets taken out in taxes and all. But you need to go to school to work as a travel agent.
