I doubt it would work.

ASD of any kind takes you unawares even though you know you take things literally or misread people. You can think you've overcome it, when in fact, those undercurrents going on in that group you hang out with go completely over your head...

social stories (participants in a given social story is carefully delineated, as theory of mind skills (i.e., the ability to take another’s point of view) are often impaired in people with AS and must be directly taught.)

social skills include first breaking skills down into smaller subskills and then teaching each skill through modeling and role plays. For example, conversation skills can be broken down into a number of subskills, such as

greeting others,
initiating topics,
staying on topic,
maintaining reciprocity,
using nonverbal communication (eye contact, facial expressions, gestures) appropriately,
checking in to see if the listener is still interested,
and appropriately ending conversations (i.e., saying goodbye).

Higher-level skills
accepting suggestions,
handling criticism,
resolving conflicts,
showing empathy.

In a fit of weakness last year, I undertook some neurofeedback training.

There's a record hung rather gothically HERE of the treatment and its apparent effects. It takes some patience to read - sorry...
